Royalty-free music license FAQ

Licensing ambient, meditation, and lofi music from Aetherveil

Aetherveil licenses royalty-free ambient, meditation, and lofi music directly to creators, studios, and brands. Two prices cover almost everything: $19 per track for personal use and $49 per track for commercial use. Both are one-time payments and both are perpetual. The answers below cover the questions that come up most often before a purchase.

What is the difference between the personal and commercial license?

The Personal license is $19 per track and covers non-commercial and creator use: YouTube videos, podcasts, social posts, student films, personal apps and projects, up to 500,000 combined views or plays per track. Credit to Aetherveil is required. The Commercial license is $49 per track and includes everything in Personal plus paid advertising, branded content, client work, commercial apps, games and software, unlimited views and plays, and no credit requirement. If the music appears in anything that sells a product or service, choose Commercial.

Can I monetize YouTube videos that use Aetherveil music?

Yes. Monetization is allowed on both the Personal and Commercial license. Aetherveil does not register its catalogue with Content ID for third-party claiming, so licensed tracks should not trigger copyright claims against your channel. If a claim ever does appear, email licensing@aetherveilmusic.com with the video URL and your order reference and it will be released, usually the same day.

Do I have to credit Aetherveil?

Credit is required on the Personal license and optional on the Commercial license. The standard format is: Music by Slumberveil (Aetherveil Music) - aetherveilmusic.com. Substitute Fernveil or Hazeloop as appropriate. A credit in the video description, episode notes, or app credits screen is sufficient.

Is the license perpetual? Do I owe anything later?

Every Aetherveil license is perpetual and worldwide. You pay once for the track and the projects you have released stay licensed forever, with no renewal fee, no recurring subscription, and no revenue split. If Aetherveil ever removes a track from the catalogue, licenses already issued remain valid.

Do you offer bulk pricing, exclusivity, or custom compositions?

Yes. Ten or more tracks in a single order are discounted, and full-album licenses for Infinite Drift, Warm Stone, or Late Light are priced as a bundle. Aetherveil also handles white-label and exclusive buyouts, sync licensing for film and television, and custom compositions written to a brief, tempo, or runtime. Email licensing@aetherveilmusic.com with the project details, intended use, and timeline for a quote.

How do I buy a license?

Email licensing@aetherveilmusic.com with the track or album name, the artist (Slumberveil, Fernveil, or Hazeloop), and whether you need Personal or Commercial rights. You will receive a payment link and, once paid, the master WAV and MP3 files plus a PDF license certificate naming you or your company as the licensee. Most orders are delivered within 24 hours.

What does royalty-free actually mean here?

Royalty-free means there are no ongoing performance royalties or per-use fees owed to Aetherveil after the one-time license purchase. It does not mean the music is free or public domain: the recordings and compositions remain owned by Aetherveil, and the license grants you the right to use them within the terms above. Reselling, redistributing, or uploading the raw audio to another stock or royalty-free ambient music library is not permitted.

Can I use the music in an app, game, or client project?

Yes, under the Commercial license. One Commercial license covers one product or one client project with unlimited end users. If you are an agency licensing on behalf of several clients, buy one license per client project, or ask about a bulk agency rate.
